Glennis Mehra, PhD, is Director of the Entrepreneurship Initiative (EI) in the Office of Entrepreneurship & Commercialization. Her responsibilities include leading and advancing the design, build, and strategy of MSK’s new entrepreneurship programming, as well as developing a network of investors and external experts to help guide MSK innovators in translating oncology research into commercially fundable startups. She joined MSK in September 2025 after serving for nearly five years as Managing Director of BioLabs@NYULangone, New York City’s largest life science incubator.
Previously, Glennis co-founded multiple companies and served as a consultant and angel investor across biotechnology, consumer health, and medtech. She was a Director at SPIRM Consulting Group, where she developed innovation strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Earlier in her career, she co-founded Saf Labs, which created functional genomics tools for the life science market in India. Glennis also served as a Technology Licensing Officer at Columbia University’s Science and Technology Ventures (CTV), managing the transfer of more than 30 inventions.
Glennis earned her PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Columbia University, where she was an early adopter and developer of functional genomic discovery and validation tools.
